ASUS introduces the USB-N11 wireless-N USB adapter
ASUS is hoping that setting up secure wireless networks will be easier with the introduction of the new USB-N11 wireless N USB adapter. This compact adapter is fully 802.11n compliant and will work with all draft-n devices out there – at least that’s what ASUS claims. In addition, the USB-N11 makes setting up protected wireless networks a breeze thanks to the built-in support for WiFi Protected Setup (WPS). Assuming you have a WPS-enabled router, the USB-N11 can establish a secure network at the touch of a button on both the router and the adapter. No need for complicated SSIDs or network keys etc. Specs of the USB-N11 include:
- USB 2.0 support
- 2.4 to 2.5 GHz operating frequency
- 802.11b/g/n support
- Support for WEP, 802.1x, WPA, WPA-PSK, WPA2, WPA2-PSK
- Measures 84 x 21 x 11 mm
The ASUS USB-N11 supports Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X.
