Rumors about an updated Apple MacBook product lineup has been swirling around the net for several weeks now – fueled in no small part by Apple’s comments about an upcoming “product transition” for the fourth quarter. After sifting through most of the rumors, Seth Weintraub of ComputerWorld.com has compiled a summary of updates that the new notebooks could possibly feature:
- The new notebooks will be thinner than the current MacBook and MacBook Pros
- Will feature a new trackpad made of glass
- Trackpad will be multi-touch and gesture based
- Constructed out of one piece of aluminum
- Eco-friendly
- Will probably feature the latest Intel Centrino 2 Technology
- Possible 16:9 displays
One other interesting rumor – the MacBook Air may get an update in the form of an Intel 45nm processor – maybe even an Intel Atom processor (though why I’m not sure)
