Remember those new expensive Dr. Dre Beats headphones that were announced earlier in the week? Well the folks at DVICE.com have published a review of the unit on their website here. These $349 headphones come from a collaboration of Geffen, Monster. and Dr. Dre and feature:

  • Extra large drivers
  • Powered digital amp
  • Wide adjustable headband
  • Soft push hinged ear cups
  • Monster cables

So what did DVICE think?

Yes. Monster Dr. Dre Beats deliver astonishing sound. They’re light and comfortable.

So yes.. the headphones sound good but are they worth the price of admission? Unfortunately DVICE doesn’t really say. I for one would not pay $349 for a set of headphones that do not offer awesome noise canceling capabilities.
