If you wish to use the operating system installed on it one way use your xp/vista installer boot on your cdrom and install the operating system by using repair option and use the original serial key, is like installing again the operating system but not all the application etc. If your new motherboard also using same chipset i think no need to repair the o.s. just plug your hdd and it will works like the original MB by the way its chipset is Nvidia8200.
