Sony introduced seven new models to their BRAVIA XBR flat panel LCD product lineup consisting of models spanning the XBR8, XBR7, and XBR6 series sets. Some of the new sets feature Sony’s new TRILUMINOS three color LED backlight technology which expands the TV’s color range by aligning individual clusters of red, green, and blue LEDs. This elevates color “purity” compared to traditional white LED backlight systems.

All the new XBR models will offer the option of additional speaker grille color accents including silver, red, brown, and gold. The XBR8 and XBR7 models ship with black grille covers. The XBR6 ships with a silver grille color. All the new models will come out this fall.
