“Everything you can do, I can do better” – sure seems like the phrase MSI is trying to get across to ASUS these days. First, there was the ASUS Eee PC followed now by the MSI Wind. Then ASUS followed with the desktop ASUS Eee Box which .. has been followed by the MSI Wind PC desktop system. Ahh.. so is the Wind PC better? No one knows unfortunately since details haven’t been released thus far.
However, ExtremeTech is reporting that the new Wind PC desktop runs on just 35 watts of power on full operations which also means it can run without a fan and generate less than 30 dB of noise. Not bad at all. The Wind PC measures 300 x 260 x 410 mm. Available specs include a 160GB 7200 RPM HDD, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11n Wi-Fi, DVD combo drive, and a TV card. No word on anything else.
