gta IV The numbers are in for Grand Theft Auto IV and the game has surpassed all-time entertainment records for day one and week one sales by dollar value! Take-Two Interactive Software said that GTA IV sold approximately 6 million units globally for an estimated retail value of $500 million dollars during the first week. The game sold approximately 3.6 million units during the first day alone bringing in roughly $310 million dollars globally. According to Take-Two, these are the largest numbers in the “history of interactive entertainment” and might be the largest of any movie or music launch to date. Grand Theft Auto IV is developed by Rockstar North and is available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms.
