The Windows Mobile smartphone market just got a bit more interesting today with the introduction of the new HTC Touch Diamond device. The Touch Diamond builds upon HTC’s existing line of Windows Mobile and touch-based Windows Mobile devices by integrating a new 3D touch user interface called TouchFLO 3D. According to HTC, “TouchFLO 3D provides animated access to people, messaging, email, photos, music, weather and more.” HTC also claims that the Touch Diamond delivers an improved Internet experience thanks to built-in support for HSDPA 7.2 Mbps speeds and a new customized mobile Web browser. 

Other features and specs to the HTC Touch Diamond include the following:

  • Operating system: Windows Mobile® 6.1 Professional

So now the big question is – when will it become available? According to HTC, the Touch Diamond will be coming to Europe in June of this year and then later this quarter for the Middle East and Asia. As for the Americas, North America and Latin America will be getting the Touch Diamond during the second half of 2008.
