Nokia announces NFC enabled 6212 classic
Nokia launched the new Nokia 6212 classic handheld today featuring integrated Near Field Communication (NFC) support. With NFC integrated into the handset, the 6212 is capable of interacting with other electronic devices, sharing and receiving content, accessing services and information, and conducting forms of payment with a single tap of the phone.
Aside from NFC support, the 6212 classic features a 2 megapixel digital camera, a 2 inch QVGA display, stereo FM radio and music player, and a microSD slot.
The Nokia 6212 classic will be shipping to select markets in Europe and Asia during the third quarter of 2008 for an estimated price of around EUR 200.
