Samsung is partnering up with Giorgio Armani to introduce a dual-branded Samsung/Giorgio Armani handset for the Taiwanese market. According to Jae Hyun Ryu, Director of Mobile Communications at Samsung Taiwan, the new EDGE enabled handset will feature a 2.6 inch touch screen display and a 3 megapixel digital camera. Due out at the end of April, this dual branded mobile phone will cost a staggering $1116 dollars (or NT$33,800). 3000 units are expected for this new phone but don’t expect this to be the last Samsung/Giorgio Armani phone. Ryu expects this to be a "long term project with new models to be rolled out constantly."
