Here’s a nice change from the folks at AT&T Wireless. You know that pesky Early Termination Fee you get hit with should you decided to end your mobile phone contract early? Well AT&T is modifying the fee somewhat for new and renewing customers. Beginning on May 25th, customers will no longer have to pay a flat Early Termination Fee (ETF) for one or two year contracts. The fee starts at $175 dollars and will be lowered five dollars per month for the duration of the customer’s contract. Now the bad news – this does not apply to anyone who enters into a contract with AT&T Wireless before May 25th. Boo.. (Well at least this might spur changes in other vendors)
