Canon introduces three new 10 megapixel PowerShot cameras
Canon introduced a trio of new models to their PowerShot lineup of digital cameras today – the PowerShot SD890 IS, PowerShot SD790 IS, and PowerShot SD770 IS Digital ELPH cameras. The three cameras come with features such as Motion Detection Technology, Optical Image Stabilization, Canon Face Detection Technology, and Canon’s proprietary DIGIC III image processor. Here’s what you need to know about each of the three new models.
The PowerShot SD890 IS Digital ELPH features:
- 10 megapixel image sensor
- 5X optical zoom lens
- 2.5 inch PureColor II LCD display
- Zoom lens equivalent to 37mm to 185mm lens
- Multi-control dial
- Macro shots less than an inch away
- Traditional optical viewfinder
- Available in early April
- Includes battery pack, charger, 32 MB SD memory card, USB cable, AV cable, wrist strap and software
- MSRP of $399.99
The PowerShot SD790 IS Digital ELPH features:
- 10 megapixel image sensor
- 3x optical zoom lens
- Zoom lens equivalent to 35 mm to 105 mm lens
- Multi-control dial
- 3 inch PureColor LCD II display
- Available at the end of March
- Includes battery pack, charger, 32 MB SD memory card, USB cable, AV cable, wrist strap and software
- MSRP of $349.99
The PowerShot SD770 IS Digital ELPH features:
- Classic box and circle design
- 10 megapixel image sensor
- Thinnest body of any optically image stabilized ELPH model ever produced
- 2.5 inch PureColor LCD II screen
- Optical viewfinder
- 3x optical zoom lens
- Two-tone finish available
- Available in mid-April
- Includes battery pack, charger, 32 MB SD memory card, USB cable, AV cable, wrist strap and software
- MSRP of $299.99
