Sony Ericsson introduces two new touch phones – the G700 and G900
Say what you will about the Apple iPhone. There’s no doubt this single phone has made everyone think twice about what it means to have a touch user interface. Case in point – Sony Ericsson’s new G700 and G900 “touchscreen organizers.” Both of these phones provide smartphone capabilities such as contacts management, calendaring, notes, pictures, and website browsing
support. The G900 adds a new 5.0 megapixel touch auto focus camera to the mix as well as a photo album and an editor.
We’ll start with the Sony Ericsson G700 which features:

- Touch controlled Notes application – write and draw your memos
- 2.4 inch display with unique single touch control menu
- 240 x 320 resolution with 262K colors
- Memory Stick Micro support
- 160MB memory
- 3.2 megapixel digital camera
- Touchscreen text input
- Web surfing, calendar, and phone navigation
- Dedicated keys for messaging
- Measures 4.2 x 1.9 x 0.5 inches and weighs 99 grams
- Available in Silk Bronze
- UMTS 2100 and GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 support
- Available in Q2 of 2008
Then there’s the Sony Ericsson G900 which features:
