Here’s something else interesting about the new LG Viewty camera phone (model LG-KU990) – it’s the first camera phone to have DivX certification to natively record in the DivX file format. The Viewty comes with a 5.0 megapixel resolution camera and is capable of recording 640 x 480 video at 120 frames per second. Other features of the Viewty include:

  • Manual focus support
  • Image Stabilizer
  • Handwriting recognition for photo editing
  • Document viewer
  • Voice recording

Having DivX certification means any video recorded on the Viewty will be playable on DivX certified consumer electronics devices which include DVD players, game consoles, and portable media players.
