Ever wish you could have an integrated compass in your mobile phone? Something that could simply tell you what was north and what was south? Well now you can with the new Nokia 6210 Navigator handset. It’s Nokia’s first GPS enabled hand set to feature an integrated compass for “pedestrian guidance.” The 6210 Navigator also comes with Nokia Maps 2.0 free of charge which provides full voice and visual turn by turn guidance.

The integrated compass makes use of a built in accelerometer which measures changes in direction and orientation and makes it easier to follow a map when walking.  Other features of the 6210 Navigator include:

  • Supports 3.5G connectivity via HSDPA support
  • Supports Assisted GPS (A-GPS)
  • Local maps are pre-loaded on the 1GB memory card
  • 3.2 megapixel digital camera
  • Integrated MP3 player
  • Stereo FM radio
  • Uses S60 platform

The Nokia 6210 Navigator will begin shipping in the third quarter of this year for a price of EUR 300.
