Steve Jobs and his take on the MacBook Air, Amazon Kindle, Google Smartphone, and Bill Gates
John Markoff of the New York Times wrote up an interesting piece about Steve Jobs entitled “The Passion of Steve Jobs“. In this article, Jobs talks about everything from the newly announced MacBook Air to the Google’s attempt at making a smartphone to Bill Gates retiring at the end of June.
When it came to the new MacBook Air, Jobs had this to say:
I’m going to be the first one in line to buy one of these”
Ha… as if he really needs to stand in line.
On the Amazon Kindle device, he had this notion on why the product may fail for Amazon:
It doesn’t matter how good or bad the product is, the fact is that people don’t read anymore
On Google’s Smartphone software…
Having created a phone its a lot harder than it looks
Finally, on Bill retiring at the end of June:
It’s a significant event, and I think he should be honored for the contributions he’s made.
