ExtremeTech posted a review over a week ago of the new Dell UltraSharp 3008WFP-HC Flat Panel LCD Monitor here on their website. This is Dell’s latest monster of a 30 in panel which I ran into at Dell’s CES 2008 booth. Some of the impressive specs include a 2560 x 1600 native resolution, 3000:1 contrast ratio, HDMI connection, 100 percent of the color gamut, seven different connection options, brushed aluminum housing, glass stand base, and a Dell patented cantilever arm. Here’s the verdict from ExtremeTech:

For the right application, such as video or photo editing, this is about the best display we’ve seen. But it falls short of being a great, multifunction display due to poor handling of standard def video, odd gamma curve and limited resolution support. And then there’s that price…
