Microsoft Spotlight 2008 at CES 2008 – highlights fashionable PCs

The back side of the Microsoft CES 2008 booth had a section called “Spotlight 2008 – PC Fashion”. This was Microsoft’s showcase of fashionable PC systems – all of which were of course running Windows Vista. I snapped up pictures of some of the systems on display. Enjoy!

The above notebook is the HP Pavilion Special Edition dv2700 featuring the Verve Imprint which uses a special molding technique to create the unique bronze finish and glossy black accents. Specs include an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a complementary mouse and slipcover, and a high definition BrightView widescreen display.

Next up is the ASUS u2e thin and light notebook system wrapped in elegant leather.. yes.. leather. Features include the Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology, 11.1 inch LED backlit display and a weight of 2.86 lbs (includes a 3 cell battery)

The next system (above) is the ASUS Lamborghini vx3 which comes with a mirror-like piano finish, a premium leather bound palm rest with stitch detailing, and automotive design details. Specs include the Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology, carbon fiber casing, and a 12.1 inch widescreen LED backlit display.

Above is the Lenovo u110 super slim and lightweight notebook system. The top cover is embellished with a tendril texture that’s etched into the metal exterior. Features include interactive user controls, a Dolby sound system, an Intel Core 2 Duo LV/ULV processor, Advanced Protection System with 4x greater impact protection, and a weight of under 2.2 lbs with an SSD installed.

This funky fashionable notebook is the Ego Signature system. Featuring an interchangeable cover, the Ego uses materials such as fine leather and fabrics, chrome, and titanium. Specs include the AMD Turion 64 bit processor, anti-reflection high resolution display, and a bass-reflex sound system.

The last interesting system that I took a picture of was the Sony VAIO LT HD PC/TV system. This combination HDTV/PC system comes with a 22 inch widescreen LCD display and a cable-ready HDTV tuner. Other specs include the Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 processor, a wall mountable system, and an integrated webcam and microphone.
