Brother is launching a new line of monochrome laser printers called the HL-2100 series which feature faster print speeds and a new form factor. The new models include the following:

HL-2170W:

• Street price of around $150 dollars
• Supports wireless (802.11b/g) and Ethernet network interfaces
• First laser printer to offer wireless connectivity for under $150

HL-2140:

• Street price of around $150 dollars
• Connects via USB interface

Both printers support:

• Speeds of up to 23 ppm and resolutions up to 2400 x 600 dpi
• Supports sizes up to legal, envelopes, labels, and transparencies
• Enclosed lower paper try capable of holding up to 250 sheets of paper
• Manual bypass slot for feeding envelopes and letterheads
• Weighs 15 lbs including toner and drum
