Dell to sell systems at Best Buy in January of ‘08
Dell continues to expand its presence outside of direct sales by announcing a deal to start selling computers at more than 900 Best Buy stores around the country. Best Buy will begin carrying Dell XP and Inspiron notebook and desktop computers beginning in January of 2008. The company currently sells mid-range systems at Wal-Mart and business systems at Staples. Entering the consumer retail market should help Dell compete more effectively against the likes of HP, Sony, and Apple.
