Is the tide finally turning for Sony’s PlayStation 3 console? Sony sent out an email yesterday stating that the top 10 retailers in North America reported a 245 percent increase in PS3 unit sales for the week between November 18th and November 24th. Overall, PS3 unit sales have soared 4x since Sony cut the console’s price from $599 to $499 for the 80GB model and introduced a low end $399 model (with a 40GB drive). Yes.. even I’m tempted to get a PS3 now – again – only for the Blu-ray drive. (truth is – I need more HDMI inputs on my receiver!!)
