According to this Crave posting, Dell is expected to announce the new middle of the road XPS notebook later today – the XPS M1530. Now, rumors about the notebook have traveling around the web for some time now so this really isn’t much of any surprise.. however, it is nice to see Dell come out with a slightly larger version of the popular XPS M1330. The folks at Engadget reported that the M1530 actually made an appearance on the Dell Singapore site here – unfortunately the page is no longer valid (looks like someone at Dell caught wind of this mistake eh?) Well here’s what we know thus far about the XPS M1530:
- 15.4 inch CCFL display with a 1440 x 900 resolution
- HDMI output, S-Video out
- Optional slot loading Blu=ray drive
- Optional 64GB SSD
- Select up to a 2.6GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7800 processor
- 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics
- Up to 4GB DDR2 memory
- Either 7200 RPM 200GB or 5400 320GB SATA HDD
- 802.11n Wi-Fi support
- Bluetooth 2.0
- 2 megapixel digital camera

- Weighs roughly 6 lbs
The best part of it all? The XPS M1530 supposedly starts in at around $999.
