ASUS to introduce two new portable media players with GPS functionality
ASUS is introducing two new portable media players in Europe this November called the R700 and the R300. The R700, pictured above, comes with a 4.3 inch screen while the R300 comes with a smaller 3.5 inch display. Both models feature an integrated GPS chipset and media player functionality. Other specs include:
- Support for AAC, MP3, WMA, MPEG-4
- 64MB of RAM, 128MB of ROM
- Micro SD slot for expansion
- 400MHz Samsung processor inside
- Bluetooth 2.0 support
- SMS message support
The R700 comes with an integrated RDS-TMC receiver which allows the unit to receive traffic data in GPS mode. No word on pricing as of yet.
