According to ChipChick, the StudentMate is supposed to retail for $399 and was supposed to have come out this June.. but so far no word on availability. Of course.. for $399, you start entering the territory of low end notebook systems. Of course, low end notebooks aren’t exactly tailored for students either so there’s something to be said about having a system specifically tailored for educational needs.
