Panasonic Lumix DMC-L10 Digital SLR Preview
Constructed with the open Four-Thirds format, Panasonic has introduced their second SLR, the Lumix DMC-L10 (press release). Leica, another company supporting the Four-Thirds format, has designed the accompanying image-stabilized 14-50mm lens.
The Panasonic SLR is competitive with the mid-range DSLR market, with an estimated price at $1300. And with an expected release date in October, the Lumix DMC-L10 will go head-to-head with the latest Canon and Nikon DSLR offerings.
Key features that the Lumix DMC-L10 offers are:
- Fully actuating 2.5″ LCD screen.
- Live-View preview LCD function.
- 10.1-megapixel Live MOS Sensor.
- Supersonic Wave Filter dust reduction system.
- 3.0 fps continuous shooting.
- SD and SDHC card support.
- Four-Thirds lens mount allowing the use of lenses from Leica, Olympus, and Sigma.
