Nokia has released what they are calling their “first handsfree dedicated personal navigation device” in the form of the Nokia 500 Auto Navigation. It’s a complete in-car navigation and communication device featuring an integrated GPS navigation functionality as well as a complete Bluetooth handsfree system for Bluetooth enabled mobile phones. Features of the Nokia 500 Auto Navigation include the following:
- 4.3 inch wide color screen
- Handsfree speaker system with Digital Sound Processing for superior audio quality
- High sensitivity GPS and support for Nokia Maps navigation software
- Provides clear spoken and visual directions (turn by turn and street and city names)
- Comes with pre-installed maps and detailed travel information along with points of interest
- Includes Traffic Message Channel service which helps you avoid traffic jams
- Split screen User Interface which displays additional information alongside navigational information
- Integrated music player
- View photographs and watch video clips
- Integrated FM transmitter allows you to transmit audio to your car’s FM radio
The Nokia 500 Auto Navigation will be available in Europe in the fourth quarter of this year at an estimated price of 300 EUR.
