nokia Move aside U.S., India is now the second largest sales market for Nokia after China. The company shipped 60 million handsets in the 18 months leading up to August and CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo expects demand to remain strong as India’s user base grows. Think India is a low end market? Think again – according to Kallasvuo, “India is not a low-end market. It is a very versatile market in all price points, in all segments.”

From April to June, Nokia sold approximately 100.8 million mobile phones and now has a global market share of 36.9 percent.
