Sony introduces two new T-series digital cameras
Sony has announced two new slim Cyber-shot T-series digital cameras – the 8 megapixel DSC-T200 and the 8 megapixel DSC-T70. The T200 features a 3.5 inch wide LCD touch panel display and a 5x Carl Zeiss optical zoom lens while the T70 features a 3 inch wide LCD touch panel display and a 3x Carl Zeiss optical zoom lens.
Common features to both T-series digital cameras include:
- Connect to HDTV via HD component cable or an HD cable (both sold separately)
- Built in slide show function to view photos – complete with dynamic transitions choreographed to programmed music clips or your own music
- When connected to Sony BRAVIA HD television sets, the photos are optimized for television viewing using Sony’s “Photo TV HD” mode
- New “Smile shutter” function which detects and captures a person smiling
- Image stabilization and high sensitivity (ISO 3200)
- Edit and enhance images with the touch of a finger – select designs or frames and stamps to enhance the images
- Resize photos to 4:3 ratio or 16:9
- Clear Photo LCD screen provides a bright clean-line look
The DSC-T200 features:
- 8 megapixel resolution
- 3.5 inch wide LCD touch panel
- 5x Carl Zeiss optical zoom lens
- Available in silver, black, or red
The DSC-T70 features:
- 8 megapixel resolution
- 3 inch wide LCD touch panel
- 3x Carl Zeiss optical zoom lens
- Available in silver, black, white, or pink
Both digital cameras will ship in September with the DSC-T200 going for $400 dollars and the DSC-T70 selling for $300. Pre-orders for the cameras will begin on August 23rd.
