Sony BDP-S1E

Thanks to the folks at AVING, we now know that Sony is expected to introduce a new high end standalone Blu-ray player called the BDP-S1E at the upcoming IFA 2007. Some of the features of the BDP-S1E include:

  • DVD video up-scaling to 1080p
  • 24p True Cinema Mode
  • Supports eight channel audio (7.1 linear PCM) as well as Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus

No word on pricing or any other unique features at this time.
