Logitech has introduced a new iPod portable speaker system called the Pure-Fi Anywhere which is basically an upgrade to their popular mm50 portable speaker system. The new Pure-Fi Anywhere speakers offers a rechargeable battery, battery life indicator, improved translator case, and a redesigned remote control with one touch access to Shuffle and Repeat. Let’s go over some of these new features with a bit more details.

Long Lasting Rechargeable Battery:

The Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere features a 10 hour rechargeable battery with built in battery-life indicator.  The indicator uses a four stage level meter which lets people know when they need to charge the battery. The Pure-Fi Anywhere will simultaneously play music and charge the iPod.

Improved Travel Case:

The improved travel case holds the speakers, power adapter, and the redesigned remote control. There’s room to hold an iPod nano too.

Improved Remote Control:

The Pure-Fi Anywhere includes a wireless remote control that offers direct navigation of iPod menus from a distance of 20 feet. It features one touch access to Shuffle and Repeat with buttons also on the top of the speaker system. The remote provides access to Volume, Forward, Back, Play, and Pause.

Other features:

  • Stylish profile with speakers coming in glossy white with silver grilles or piano-black with black grilles
  • Measures 3.6 x 13.2 x 1.5 inches and weighs 1.6 lbs
  • Dual 2 inch Max-X high excursion drivers with neodymium magnets
  • 3 inch pressure drivers maximize bass response and minimize distortion

The new Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere speakers will be available in the U.S. and Europe beginning in September for $149.99.
