Whoops – some of Facebook’s PHP code was made available for a short amount of time. The website called facebooksecrets.blogspot.com managed to copy and post up what they saw. While some have reported that this is “Facebook’s source code going public”.. there’s really not a whole lot in here folks. From a cursory glance at the PHP code that made it out – it’s basically a list of server side includes and function calls. You don’t actually see the function implementations here so there’s nothing to really worry about – at least nothing I can see immediately. The real question is – should this website really be posting the source code that they did capture? I’m sure a cease and desist letter will be coming soon.
