5645_slingnewclearsfcc From the depths of the FCC’s online records comes a new filing from Sling Media for what looks to be a new Slingbox device. This new device appears to have less input sources than the current top of the line Slingbox Pro system. According to Daily Tech, the new Slingbox shows inputs for component, composite, and S-Video connections. The new device continues to allow streaming of video over a network using an Ethernet connection. The new player doesn’t appear to support Wi-Fi but that’s not confirmed as of yet. This new Slingbox could either be a new entry level device or a new middle of the road system. One final note – since the component inputs are now on the Slingbox – it looks like you won’t have to purchase that $50 dollar accessory item to connect component cables to the device.
