Great news for those of you interested in purchasing an Xbox 360 Premium console. Microsoft has confirmed that the latest versions of the Xbox 360 Premium console (sometimes referred to as simply Xbox 360 on the Xbox.com website) will indeed have the HDMI port. You no longer have to purchase the Xbox 360 Elite to get HDMI out which means the principle differences between the Elite and the Premium console is the larger hard drive and the black chassis. That’s awesome news for me since I was seriously considering getting the Elite purely for the HDMI output. Since I already have an Xbox 360 120GB hard drive add-on, I really would rather purchase the Premium system with HDMI to save a few bucks. If you’re interested in this version of the console, make sure to check the box you’re purchasing. Microsoft states that the Premium with HDMI will have an HDMI logo on the package. Do be careful because there are still plenty of inventory left of the older Xbox 360 Premium systems.
