While you’re waiting for SP1 for Windows Vista, you can update your OS with two new hotfixes that Microsoft officially released on Tuesday. Both updates were leaked onto the internet late July.
The performance update KB938979 (10 MB) and the reliability update KB938194 (2.1MB) can be downloaded from the Microsoft Download Center.
The updates address bugs such as when “the computer stops responding or restarts unexpectedly when you play video games or perform desktop operations.” If cars ran like computers…
