Wii outsells PS3 4 to 1 in Japan for July
The latest next generation game console figures are out for July and yes – the Nintendo Wii is still thoroughly trouncing the Sony PlayStation 3. According to game magazine publisher Enterbrain, Nintendo sold 396,752 units of the Wii in the five weeks ending on July 29th while Sony sold 91,987 units of the PS3. That’s pretty much a 4 to 1 ratio (compared to roughly 6 to 1 back in June). If there’s any consolation for PS3 fans, it’s that the Xbox 360 console was just a tiny speck for the month coming in at 17,970 units. Folks – it’s clear which next generation console is the winner for 2007.
