GearLog has published a quick review of the LapWorks Laptop Desk Futura product here on their website. The Futura is a unique laptop stand capable of being used either on your lap or on a desk or table. The stand features open ventilation slots for extra cooling and super gripping rubber to keep that laptop of yours securely in place.

When you unfold the Futura, you can place it directly on top of your lap – using it as a buffer between your thighs and the hot notebook of yours. Fold the Future back up and you can place it on your desktop to work with your notebook at a more comfortable angle. Features include:

• Raises the screen height by 3.75 inches closer to your eye level

My final take: it’s a cool laptop stand if you want something sturdy and stationary. And it’s rather cool looking too
