lumixl10

Constructed with the open Four-Thirds format, Panasonic has introduced their second SLR, the Lumix DMC-L10 (press release). Leica, another company supporting the Four-Thirds format, has designed the accompanying image-stabilized 14-50mm lens.

The Panasonic SLR is competitive with the mid-range DSLR market, with an estimated price at $1300. And with an expected release date in October, the Lumix DMC-L10 will go head-to-head with the latest Canon and Nikon DSLR offerings.

Key features that the Lumix DMC-L10 offers are:

  • Fully actuating 2.5″ LCD screen.
  • Live-View preview LCD function.
  • 10.1-megapixel Live MOS Sensor.
  • Supersonic Wave Filter dust reduction system.
  • 3.0 fps continuous shooting.
  • SD and SDHC card support.
  • Four-Thirds lens mount allowing the use of lenses from Leica, Olympus, and Sigma.
