MSI has added a new model to the G performance series lineup of notebooks called the GX600. The GX600 features:

• Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
• Intel PM965 Express Chipset
• NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics with 512MB of RAM
• Up to 4GB of RAM
• 15.4 inch WSXGA+/WXGA ACV (Amazing Crystal Vision) display

There’s also a silver turbo button above the keyboard that allows you to turn Turbo mode on/off. (Doesn’t that remind you of the early IBM PC clones where you’d have a “Turbo” button to increase clock speed from 4.77MHz to 8 or whatever the turbo speed was?). In Turbo Mode, users can increase the CPU and system speed by up to 20 percent. Turn it off in battery mode and the notebook can extend battery life by 15%.
