Helio adds Microsoft Exchange support to Helio Ocean
Helio has announced two new features for the Helio Ocean mobile phone – support for Microsoft Exchange via the “Mail for Microsoft Exchange” application and an integrated File Viewer application. The Mail for Microsoft Exchange makes the Helio Ocean a viable phone for business users who depend on Exchange for their mail, calendaring, and contacts management. The new Helio applications allows users to wirelessly synchronize their email, calendar, and contacts from their companies’ Exchange Server to their phone.
Mail for Microsoft Exchange will be a downloadable client that utilizes the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync protocol. Once installed, the application will be able to remotely synchronize your email, contacts and calendar information from a corporate Exchange Server in your place of business.
In addition to the Mail for Microsoft Exchange application, Helio plans on making a new File Viewer application available. The Helio File Viewer will allow users to view documents in file formats such as .doc, .ppt, .xls, and .pdf.
Unfortunately, this upgrade won’t be free. Users can try out Mail for Microsoft Exchange for 60 days. After that,it will cost you $9.99 per month for All-In members.
