Toshiba developing new Gigabeat with integrated Wi-Fi
It’s been some time since Toshiba last launched a new Gigabeat media player. Ever since the launching of the Zune, it almost appeared Toshiba was exiting the market altogether. Well the folks at Ubergizmo are reporting that Toshiba has apparently filed with the FCC a new Gigabeat design which integrates Wi-Fi capabilities. The new player is going by the model number MET401 and will feature at least some sort of Wi-Fi networking capability. It will also apparently do away with the Microsoft Portable Media Center version of Windows CE – instead opting for a version of Windows Embedded instead. Hmm that’s definitely weird then. There really isn’t anything solid at this point but the diagram’s nice right?
