With technology where it is, it’s easy to make a gadget to do anything. But some products are clearly better than the rest: take, for example, the Apple iPod, or the Nintendo Wii.
When it comes to interfacing with gizmos and appliances, the fewer buttons, the better.
IN SPITE of the fact that my microwave has more computing power than all the devices in my parents’ home when I grew up, I only use one button: “Plus one minute”.
