Do you wish the iPhone came in different colors? Well the folks at ColorWare are here to answer those wishes. ColorWare is offering a service where they can either take your iPhone and apply one of 29 different color combinations, or sell you a brand new iPhone with a color combination already applied. If you want to send in your existing iPhone for customization, it will cost you $149 dollars and will take approximately 8-10 business days to finish. Should you want to purchase a new iPhone from ColorWare, it’ll cost you $649 for the 4GB model and $749 for the 8GB model. These phones will also take 8-10 business days to get to you.

How does ColorWare work exactly? Here are the steps from the ColorWare website:

Step 1: Customer orders product

Step 2: Order is sent to disassembly team which will pull a brand new unit from their stock and prepare it for the painting process

Step 3: The product goes through a cleaning process to remove any residual chemicals that may still be on the product from the manufacturer

Step 4: The product is painted to the customers’ specifications

Step 5: The finishing team applies the X2 coating on the product to protect it from scratching and then the product is cured with UV light to achieve superior scratch resistance and clarity

Step 6: Product sent to assembly for final assembly and inspection

Spent 7: sent out to you.
