OtterBox working on iPhone case – the OtterBox 1940
Are you hoping the folks at OtterBox are designing a case for the Apple iPhone? Do you even need to hope for that? Of course they are folks! (come on – what case manufacturing company wouldn’t make a case for the iPhone right?) MobileMag is reporting some of the early details on the upcoming OtterBox case for the iPhone – known internally as the OtterBox 1940. The 1940 will be a slim fit, semi-rugged case design featuring:
- 3 layers of protection – all surfaces are covered at all times
- Touch interface is protected while still being made usable through a patented touch screen membrane
- All buttons are protected and usable via pass through buttons
- All ports are usable through plugs
- Includes a swivel belt clip that provide full impact protection for the screen
Here’s a rendering of the case:
