Leave it to the Japanese to come up with something like this – it’s called the Mushi catcher and it’s made by Century Japan. It’s basically a handheld device used to capture small flies that happen to be lying about. The gun-like device uses suction power to literally suck in a unsuspecting fly. No mess, no chemicals, and no fly swatter needed. It’s not exactly clear if the device is meant to collect dead flies or live ones. One thought I had was – if you catch a live fly inside the Mushi.. what do you do with it afterwards? I suppose you could bring it outdoors and empty it out. Or better yet – feed it to my spider (Yes.. I have a pet spider at home!). OK.. what do you want.. I like bugs!
