Kingston Technology introduced a new USB flash drive yesterday called the DataTraveler 100 featuring a capless design. Instead of a protective cap, the DataTraveler 100 comes with a retractable USB connector – providing for a simple single handed operation. When you need to connect the drive to the PC, simply slide out the USB connector. When you’re done, slide the connector back into the drive for added protection. The drive is available in storage capacities of up to 8GB and is compatible with Windows Vista, XP, Windows 2000, Mac OS X 10.x and above, and Linux 2.4 and above.

The drive comes in either 1GB ($19.00), 2GB ($32.00), 4GB ($59.00), or 8GB ($116.00) capacities.
