LG Electronics introduces FlatronWide L206WU LCD Monitor
LG Electronics has launched North America’s first line of USB connected computer displays utilizing DisplayLink’s USB 2.0 network display technology in the form of the FlatronWide L206WU. This 20 inch monitor connects to your PC over a USB 2.0 link and enables high performance high definition graphics at a resolution of 1680 x 1050.
The L206WU has an integrated multi-port USB hub built right into the display allowing up to three LG FlatronWide monitors to be daisy chain connected to the PC. Other improvements down the road will enable up to six monitors to be connected to a single PC over USB 2.0 – but for now it’s three.
Making this possible is the use of DisplayLink’s DL-160 network display chip which enables 32 bit true color graphics and real time video playback across a USB link.
Thanks to Engadget for the picture of the monitor.
