LaptopMag has published a review of one of the new Gateway T-series notebooks - the T-6815. This smooth looking $899 notebook features the following specs (these are the reviewed model specs):
- Intel Core 2 Duoo T5250 processor running at 1.5GHz
- Windows Vista Home Premium OS
- 1GB of RAM expandable to 4GB
- 160GB HDD
- 8X DVD burner
- 14.1 inch display with 1280 x 800 resolution
- Intel GMA 965 X3100 graphics
- Measures 13 x 9.7 x 1.3 inches and weighs 5.6 lbs
Here’s the verdict from LaptopMag:
The Gateway T-6815 strikes the right balance of killer craftsmanship, performance, and price. We wish there were a discrete graphics option out of the gate–and that tech-support hours didn’t depend on where the system is purchased–but overall this is a bold and satisfying effort.
On a serious note – this machine doesn’t at all look like a Gateway system right? Looks more like an HP notebook or a Alienware system. Kudos to Gateway for improving their look!
