“Hailing Frequencies Open”..

That’s the first thing I thought of when I saw these Bluetooth Stereo headphones from Etymotic. They’re called the Ety8′s and they’re supposedly the first in-ear high fidelity, noise isolating Bluetooth stereo headphones that support A2DP, AVCP, and Bluetooth 2.0. You simply connect the included 8Mate adapter to your iPod’s dock connector interface and then wirelessly connect the in-ear headphones to the adapter. The Ety8s’ earphones come with buttons to control the iPod – including volume up/down, power/play/pause, previous/rewind, and next/fast-forward.

Each earphone weighs less than 1/2 oz and features 34 to 42 dB of noise reduction. These in-ear earphones will also work Bluetooth-stereo enabled devices such as computers and mobile phones.

The Ety8 package includes:

  • ety8 earphones
  • 8Mate Adapter for iPod
  • Leather Case
  • Eartips
  • USB Charging Cable
  • Filter changing tool and filters

The Etymotic Ety8 is compatible with:

  • iPod with color
  • iPod with color U2 edition
  • iPod nano 1st and 2nd gen
  • iPod mini
  • iPod with video

The Etymotic Ety8 is $299 with the iPod adapter (8Mate) and $199 for just the earphones only.
