One of my favorite aspects about Windows XP was the wealth of tweaks available for the OS. Everything from Microsoft’s own PowerToys applets to third party applications to little registry hacks – there were a ton of tweaks available. Unfortunately the tweak list of applications for Vista has been much less thus far – primarily because the OS is relatively new still to the world. The folks at Stardock (makers of Object Desktop) have released an application hoping to change that a bit – it’s called TweakVista and it’s a $19.95 utility designed to enhance the performance of Windows Vista. ExtremeTech has published a review of the utility here on their website and finds the following:

TweakVista offers a wealth of information on what’s running under the hood in Windows Vista. The app also enables access to a number of tweaks not easily found in Windows control panels.

Note – if you already have Stardock’s Object Desktop application suite, then TweakVista is a part of that suite.
