You see.. the problem with wireless game controllers is the constant need to replace the batteries inside. I suffer from that problem with both the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii. The worst part of it all – the batteries almost always die at the worst possible moments. Well.. Nyko has a solution for Nintendo Wii owners at least – it’s called the Nyko Charge Station and it’s a combination charging dock and rechargeable battery pack set for the Wii Remotes.

The package comes with two sets of NiMH batteries for two Wii Remotes. Each rechargeable battery provides up to 25 hours of game play and when they’re drained, you simply place the Wii Remote on the charging dock and charge away. The rechargeable batteries also come with a rubberized grip providing users with a safe and comfortable grip on the Wii Remote – making sure the remote doesn’t end up in your television set.

About the only bad thing with this system is the charge time. The charging dock takes up to 8 hours to recharge both batteries.. that’s a long time between game playing so you’re better off charging the remotes when you’re sleeping. Nyko sells the Charge Station for $29.99.
